SO happy to be back doing our weekly updates! I am still in awe that God has allowed me to steward The Nanny Connection & Co. for TWENTY years now! About this time of year twenty years ago, I had a fresh diploma from Oral Roberts University, a heart full of dreams, a whole lot of ambition and a little bit of disappointment that things weren’t working out on my timeline. Thank God that they didn’t because God had something bigger. And not just for me, He had something bigger for my friends too. One of the phrases that kept resonating within me was “when you’re faithful with what’s in your hand, God is able to give you what is in your heart.” I had no idea at the time how true that statement would become for me. What started out as helping a few families that I had babysat for through college secure coverage as I got busier and less available has turned in to a full service agency serving thousands of families and caregivers in my hometown of Tulsa and beyond. Not only did God allow me to journey through a really fun and fulfilling corporate career path, He wove all of those experiences and relationships together and allowed me to create something really meaningful and impactful within The Nanny Connection & Co. Now, more than ever, I am so excited about what God has for The Nanny Connection & Co, for me, for our families, and for you!

I’ve done a lot of reflecting this year and I Continue to be reminded of what sets our organization apart. I’m thankful for a renewed sense of vision and clarity for The Nanny Connection & Co. The service that we offer, the care that you provide, the level of compassion at which we operate together… it’s changing lives! I know it might not always feel like it, but what we have built, what we are building, is not only impacting kids, but it’s allowing parents more margin to be better parents! We’re allowing Whether we are providing childcare

It’s Fall! Easily my favorite time of year! The air is crisp, the weather is (a touch:) cooler, and the holidays are near! There are so many activities to do with kids in the Fall. Remember I will always reimbuse you for these expenses if you send me receipts and pictures . A few ideas for you to make some fun memories with kiddos:

  1. Fall Scavenger Hunt: Look for colorful leaves, acorns, pinecones, pumpkins, and signs of changing seasons. Can be done in the back yard and fun for all ages. Bring some of your finding inside after and make an art studio with leaf rubbings, book marks, and mini wreaths.

  2. Pumpkin Painting ; Bring baby pumpkins and some washable paint and have kids paint and decorate their pumpkins. Stickers, markers and paint pens are fun too. Be sure to ask parents first since this one can get messy.

  3. Fall Picnic + Storytime: Lay a blanket outside and enjoy a picnic and some favorite books outside. Ask parents about hot apple cider or even apple juice for younger kids to make it more festive

  4. Fall Bingo: Sets can be found at the Dollar Tree or you can make your own and use items you found outside for Bingo.

  5. Fall Sensory Bin: Get a tub or even a large bowl and (Also available at you know where… Dollar Tree!) Fill with popcorn kernels or candy corn and put random fall items in there: leaves, hay, tiny pumpkin, acorns, twigs, pinecones, some cinnamon to smell, plastic spiders, etc. Let toddlers sift through the bin and talk about what they smell, feel, and see. Talk about colors and textures and sound out words if they are not yet talking. Just be careful that kids don’t put items in their mouth!

“She was great! The kids really enjoyed her and she engaged with them the whole time. I would definitely have her back again!”

“Our babysitter Karsyn was fantastic! She took great care of my toddler son and made him feel comfortable.”

“Our babysitter Cameryn was friendly, very responsive and the boys loved her. We look forward to having her with us for future dates.”

“Joy was great! Very capable, prompt, and a fun, joyful caregiver!”

“Very professional and kind"

“Elena was incredible & we love her. The kids literally push me out the door.”

“Savannah was so great and Lola was well loved while we were away.”

Thank you to these ladies for being so extraordinary that families went out of their way to write a review or text me directly about their positive experience. Remember when a family does that (never solicited) we will send you a $25 bonus. Please continue to represent well! The constructive feedback that we receive continues to be around screen time, scrolling on phone, not being fully engaged, dressing inappropriately, and leaving a mess.

Remember the standard!

Connected to parents. Engaged with kids. Leaving the house better than we found it.
